Services

A website into German, user instructions into Polish and Swedish, a brochure into Simplified Chinese, a manual into Turkish or Brazilian Portuguese: we can take care of it all.

We translate a huge volume of specialist maritime literature, including investigation reports, websites, brochures, machine manuals, export documents, commercial contracts and supply agreements. Recently, we have also been handling more and more translations in the field of safety and prevention. No matter how large your project or how many languages are involved, you’ve come to the right address. Our unique, uniform rates for most language combinations mean you know exactly where you stand in advance.

We translate all types of nautical texts, mainly from English, German and Dutch into any target language of your choice. We adhere to the native-speaker principle on all of our projects: all texts are translated by a carefully hand-picked native speaker who is also a specialist in the maritime sector.

All translations are proofread and corrected as standard by a proofreader who is also a native speaker. Only by doing so can we guarantee that you get the best possible translation in return, fully in tune with the specific jargon used in the maritime industry.

Languages and rates

We translate into more than thirty-five languages. For translations from English, we differentiate between basic languages, premium languages and specific languages.

Basic languages are more the rule than the exception in our daily activities, and we have developed a vast network of translators to handle these. From a price perspective, we apply a uniform rate for all of these languages. That means the costs for a translation into Portuguese is the same as the cost of a translation into German or Italian, for example.

For premium languages, we have significantly fewer translators available, meaning the cost is higher. Once again, we apply a uniform rate, which is around 10-20% higher than for basic languages.

Finally, for specific languages, the number of translators available is limited. For that reason, we quote on a case-by-case basis for these projects, depending on the complexity of the text and the capacity we have available.
